I always knew
Ever since I was a kid, I have thought myself awake until dawn.
I knew better than to try to conceptualize infinity.
I knew if there was a God, he (probably she) was with me.
I knew better than to try to figure out or preach about God.
I knew that it really doesn’t matter which came first, the chicken or the egg.
I knew that I didn’t understand how people were able to be so mean and it wasn’t my job to understand.
I knew that it didn’t make sense to create nuclear bombs.
I knew that life was funny and everyone around me took it so seriously.
I knew that if you got an A and I got a C we both were still going to die one day.
I always knew my mother would love me unconditionally.
I knew that there is good in everyone but sometimes you have to look a little harder to find it.
I knew what do to others you also do to yourself.
I knew I always wanted to add value to our world… and always try to do the right thing.
I knew thinking of others and looking for the greater good is where I find peace.
I knew there is absolution.
I know none of us get out of here alive…
I know that loving one another, turning away from our differences and celebrating the ways we are the same is what God would want us to do.
I know the Bible is often misundersood.
I know love conquers all and it’s the only way to experience peace.
Finnally, I know Love is the answer and the solution to everthing.
