Last Minute Deal: $705/Person Novum Hotel Aldea Berlin Zentrum

This is for travel in less than 15 days from now (Dec 13) and INCLUDES airfare from Columbus, OH.   Not sure you could beat the price.   The airfare alone from CMH would be much more than $705, especially this close to departure (December 13).

I am not a fan of pre-paying for trips and having my money tied up for weeks or months…. It’s money I can use to invest and work for ME, instead of it working for someone else. If you have the ability to use OPM (other people’s money) you can use a service called Uplift.com via UnitedVacations.com. Just make sure the finance charges are less than the annual return you’d realize by investing. It’s an easy way to spread out your vacation over 12 months…. and preserve your cash flow. Just don’t get crazy. You gotta get the most bang for your buck, right? Whether you fly budget or first class, you don’t want to just throw away your hard earned money…. With this in mind….

I found a hotel called Novum Hotel Aldea Berlin Zentrum, which has some pretty decent reviews on Google and the main travel websites.  Why do I like it?

  • It’s close to Kreuzberg,  where I’d like to stay.
  • Very modern but basic hotel.
  • The price!
  • Central location between the Kurfürstendamm and Potsdamer Platz.
  • Early check-in is allowed as early as 11:00 (for a fee)
  • Late checkout is allowed as late as 14:00  (for a fee)
  • Breakfast buffet (for a fee)  I LOVE a good German buffet!
  • FREE Internet
  • VERY close to an U-bahn Station – so getting around the city should be a breeze.
  • Did I mention the reviews?   For this price point,  the reviews were awesome.

I found this using UnitedVacations.com,  keep in mind that they don’t display ALL hotels at all times.  Be sure to sort by price to find the lowest available.  Some of the lower priced rooms aren’t worth it in my opinion,  I prefer to stay in more than decent, nicer places.  On United Vacations you can do a search by hotel…… so be sure to search for it if you can’t find it.  It may or may not come up as an option.
