For some reason I was thinking of Sabre…. it’s where I was first exposed to buying (or more accurately dreaming of buying) airline tickets online. (Compuserve) After looking them up to see where they are now… I discovered something I didn’t know. Sabre was formed during a chance encounter with an IBM salesman and the president of American Airlines…. They started talking on the plane. American Airlines had an efficiency problem with issuing tickets and IBM built them a solution. The stars lined up for them to meet and Sabre was formed. The company still exist today and is widely used to power travel bookings.

The lesson for you? There are opportunities around EVERY corner for you to have a better or more fulfilling life…. OR…. if you are perfectly happy, self actualized and content, there are countless ways to make sure you remain that way. Whether it’s a chance encounter that catapults your business or career into the stratosphere, finding a hobby that makes your heart sing or meeting the love of your life…. opportunities are bountiful and never ending.

Sometimes it may not seem that way in the chaos and disappointments of life, but they are. I feel it’s your job as a good human to keep an open mind and see the silver lining in sometimes very challenging events and circumstances. Life is not perfect and it’s not always a box of chocolates. Bad sh** happens….it happens without fail.

But please always remember; the Universe is inherently a friendly place… a place that gives back exactly what you have given. Just know that what you send out returns to you, also without fail. It will return to you clothed in the circumstances of your life. Life is not about giving to get something back though, it’s about realizing that we share this planet with billions of other people. The decisions we make, or even don’t make, however insignificant, effect everyone.
