I Justed Watched πŸ‘ΈπŸ‘‘πŸ€΄πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§”Secrets Of The Royals on Tour Episode 2 – British Royal Documentary” on YouTube

Sometimes it bothers me to watch these…. because it often shows family members of Queen Elizabeth, that are no longer here. I don’t know why that bothers me so much. I think about how the Queen must feel to be the only person from her family’s generation to still be alive. I don’t think I could handle being the last one standing, I really don’t. It’d be interesting to see how the world is 100 years from now,...

I’m Watching “Pennsylvania Diners and Other Roadside Restaurants” on YouTube πŸ₯žπŸ₯–πŸ₯˜πŸ›

I’m watching this and taking notes for my history of food blog. The first thing I learned (which I suspected) is most Diners are prefabricated. This documentary focuses on Diners in Pennsylvania. A few other things they are discussing so far: The manufacturers of the prefab Diners. The difference between a restaurant and a diner. How it’s believed Diners originated. https://youtu.be/hmoDYCyB5kM

I’m Watching “The Century: America’s Time – 1936-1941: Over The Edge” on YouTube πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

I’m Watching this now, it’s really bothering me how some people were treated during this era (some are still living in fear). It especially bothered me when I watched a group of 900 refugees, who were trying to escape the Nazis, get turned away from Cuba. They headed there bc they knew ahead of time the US would not let them in. They were hopeful they could escape the gas chambers. Interested in History? Join our History Discord...

I’m Watching “The Century: America’s Time – 1914-1919: Shell Shock” on YouTube

The documentary started off on Pier 54 in New York City…. it discussed the departure of the doomed Lusitania, who was sunk by a German U-boat off the coast of Ireland in the Celtic Sea. It showed some disturbing images of children who died in the tragedy. I didn’t like it, they should have omitted it in my opinion This was part of a 15 part series that aired in 1999. Peter Jennings narrated. He would die just...

I Just Watched “Diana, Princess of Wales’ 60th birthday – British Royal Documentary” πŸ‘ΈπŸ‘‘

I have watched several documentaries on princess Diana but this is the only one that I’ve seen footage and pictures from when she was a child. This documentary also said how her husband, Prince Charles, wasn’t in love with her, but was still in love with Camilla Bowles. Princes Diana at one point told a journalist who was interviewing her “that there were three people in the marriage” It must have been overwhelming for her to deal with...

I Just Watched “The twenties in Color America in Color The 1920s Smithsonian Channel” on YouTube

I can’t get enough of learning about past decades.. Especially one as recent as just one hundred years ago. It was interesting to see digitally enhanced color video shoots of private parties during prohibition, busy streets in New York City and people just living their every day lives…. all caught on film. I wonder if any of them ever thought about what future generations would think of their era, just as I often think of what generations after...

I’m Watching “What Was The Life Of A Roman Citizen Like? | Meet The Romans | Odyssey” on YouTube

Mary Beard is the presenter, she’s quite interesting. She’s my mom’s age. I added her to my interesting people database… Apparently, she’s quite well known, but this documentary is the first I’ve heard of her. While watching this I had an idea for a history project… I also added a couple of places I’d like to see and visit. https://youtu.be/Q8ptqoks5qU

Watch “Who Were The Real People Onboard The Titanic? | Waking Titanic | Timeline” on YouTube

This Titanic documentary focuses on the Addergule 14, a group of poverty stricken girls from Ireland. They were headed to America at the urging of a woman who found success in Chicago 20 years earlier. When they arrived on the ship, it was the first time they had ever seen electricity or running water. They stayed in steerage class but on the Titantic apparently steerage class was like 2nd class on some ships and even first class on...
