It was heart breaking to hear many of the people in the documentary say they gave up dreaming about a better life, they are constantly nervous and worry non stop. Many of them mentioned they were lonely, because they left their families in the south for what they thought would be a better life in Chicago. A couple of the adults and children were asked if they looked forward to tomorrow, they all said no, they had nothing...

This is a very interesting episode of “24 Hours in the Past”. There was a sophisticated network of Coach Houses in the United Kingdom, which were basically depots which wealthy travelers used as stop over points to get to their final destination. This episode explores how the workers prepped the stage coaches and accomodations where travelers would stay in order to catch their connection the next day, which would take them to their final destination.

When asked what his three wishes would be, they were, no more war, poverty and for every one to love. So often people blame the poor for being poor. Please God look over this man.
