Paper trading is the best way to practice trading… whether it be Forex, penny stocks or crypto, never use your milk money. Only use money you can afford to live without. For safer investing, I recommend starting with eCommerce (buying products to resell) or real estate. This way you have something tangible that you can liquidate if necessary.
