If you run bots, download movies, research spam or even use it as a sandbox to test software, the safest way to do it is via a virtual machine. Virtual machines live in your existing computer but operate independently. This way you can “kill” them when things go awry without messing up your main configuration… What you will need:

Oracle VM Virtual Box
License Key for Windows

You can download Virual box for free
You can get a license key for Windows 10 for under 10 bucks @ Ebay.

Save lots of money on renting a virtual machine… there are advantages to rent, i.e. if you have a slow internet connection… but I like the flexibility of having my own set up to do with as I please.
