I received this in my email and wanted to share it with you… It’s from Rhonda Byrnes, if you haven’t signed up for her email list I urge you to do so at the link after the email.
I’ve come to learn over the years that when you are desperate for something, no matter what it is, you are pushing away the very thing that you want. I’m not exactly sure why this is, but I’ve found it to be true.
We must learn to let go. What we want or need in our life can come to us in an unlimited number of ways. Be patient, let go and let the universe do it’s work..
Anyway, those are my annotations. Enjoy.

The Secret Story of The Week:
Got What I Wanted When I Let Go
By Caitlin, from Perth, Australia
I had been wanting a new job for about 2 years as I really did not like my job. Although I applied for what felt like a million jobs, I managed to receive only the odd interview. Even when I thought I was the perfect candidate, I still did not get the job.
In the past I would apply for a job, receive an interview within a few days and then I would always get the job I interviewed for. Now, I had gone to 20 interviews and I had been rejected by all them. The more I was rejected, the more desperate I felt.
Then I secured a job and although my gut was telling me not to take it as my new boss seemed quite bossy, I took it as I was so miserable at my existing job. I lasted 3 days. I walked out after being bullied, threatened and intimidated by a very nasty and controlling person. I was devastated.
I sat at home for 4 months feeling very sorry for myself and basically fell into a depressed state. I had helped many friends and associates over the years to get a job. I just liked to help people. And so I kept asking the Universe to ‘repay the favour’. I wanted someone to call me up and say ‘Hey, I have a job for you and you don’t even have to interview for it’. That was the dream.
However, feeling desperate, sorry for myself, sad, angry, upset and basically very negative, nothing changed. It wasn’t until one day I just thought “OK, I’m going to stop stressing and just enjoy the time I have at home because very soon I will be working again and I will regret not using this time properly”
I swam in the ocean as often as I could as I read somewhere that the ocean “cleanses” you. As I swam, I visualised the bad energy washing off me. I then repeatedly thanked the Universe for my new job and was excited about how I didn’t have to interview for it. I just let go of the fear and doubt and started enjoying my freedom.
A week after doing this, I started getting calls from recruitment agents. I had registered with them many months beforehand but had not heard back from them before. They started to tell me about job opportunities and then at the same time I received a call from an old client. He knew I had left my old job and basically ‘hunted’ me down to find out what I was up to now. I told him I was unemployed and he told me not to worry as something would come up soon.
Three days later, he rang me again and mentioned that his work had a great job opportunity for me if I was interested. I spoke to his boss and he offered me a fantastic job plus, he said he would work around me, as I had to take my kids to school in the morning. I had not even met the boss but as my client had sang my praises, he wanted me!!! I am now earning $40K more than I was before, I can start and finish when I want to and everyone I work with is so nice!! My bosses are just awesome and I have never been so happy!!
The best part is that I did not even have to go for an interview!!!
Once I stopped worrying and ‘let go’, I got my heart’s desire. That honestly is the key!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Gratitude Reminder
“It is so important that you are grateful for everything in your life. Many people focus on the one thing they want and then forget to be grateful for all the things they have. Without gratitude you cannot achieve anything through the law of attraction, because if you are not emanating gratitude from your being, then by default you are emanating ungratefulness. Be proactive and use the frequency of your being to receive what you want.”
