I actually read this yesterday evening but was thinking about her again today. I thought it was neat she likes to get up at 4am and ride her bike in battery park…. “It’s like I have the whole city to myself” she says. It used to be twenty years ago that she’d just be getting home around 4am to 7am, when other people were just headed to work. It’s so funny how life changed for her….I guess it does for all of us.

I had gone to a bar only a handful of times before 2009, it was then that I started going more frequently… that lasted not quite ten years… It started slowing down for me in 2016…. it stopped appealing to me and I lost interest. I would stay home watching the weather channel while my roommates in Columbus went out on the town. I actually enjoyed having the house to myself.

I like to socialize, don’t get me wrong, I just gotta have my downtime… and it’s usually unpredictable.
