According to the video, in 1986 (when this aired) there were 3000 people 100 and over. Thirty years prior there were only 300.

If they were still alive today they’d be well over 130 years old. It’s just a reminder how fleeting our lives of humans really are.

One thing they mentioned when studying centenarians is they had a relatively stress less life.

The narrator also said that married men live longer but single women live longer. So strange, isn’t it?

The study tried to draw different parallels to long life and different occupations and lifestyles. There is a pattern to everything I suppose.

I don’t think I would want to be the last one standing and be the only one left who I loved as I became older…. I really really don’t.
