I Just Watched “Nelson Takes his Mother to the Top of the World Trade Center in 1986” on YouTube

Nelson Sullivan had over 1900 hours of film that he had taken over several years in New York City. There are less than 200 hours that are online. They are no longer being uploaded. After doing a little research, I found out his mother was born in 1914, which would have made her around 72 when this was taken, depending on her birthday. She died in 2012 at 98 years old. I’m Watching “Out of the Closet, Off the Screen:The Life of William Haines(2001 documentary)” on YouTube

Billy Haines was given an ultimatum by his studio that he give up his partner or lose his job. He replied “I will give him up when you give up your wife” That started the end of his career. What’s always interested me, is there are many people who are still...

I Just Watched “It’s Not Unusual, A Lesbian & Gay History Part 3 (BBC2, 1997)” on YouTube

This is part three of the series….. It covers the 60’s and 70’s and 80’s. I’d love to see an update on the people featured in this documentary. I wish the US had something similar to this…. But from an American perspective. The AIDS crisis during the 1990’s was discussed quite a bit…. Margaret Thatcher, similiar to Ronald Regan, was not helpful or empathetic towards homosexuals…. She actually impeded progress in the fight to obliterate the virus. While...
