I Just Watched “The Century: America’s Time – 1936-1941: Over The Edge”

I’m watching a 14 part series titled “The Century: America’s Time” that originally aired in April of 1999. I added the series to my watch list in July of this past year. Luckily, I was able to find it on YouTube, most of the episodes are in there. One mam who was interviewed especially intrigued me, his name was Henry Metelmann, he died in 2011… He was on another BBC 2 Timewatch documentary titled “Through Hell for Hitler”....

I Just Watched “Concorde A Supersonic Story (BBC 2017). Iconic Airplanes In History”

I really enjoyed this… At one point Joan Collins was interviewed…. along with several flight attendants, pilots, people who worked on building it and even passengers… They only had one profitable route, New York to London… so they started chartering the plane out….There were people who profited from selling day excursions to exotic places. According to this documentary that came out in 1969, the biggest city in 1800 was Philadelphia. Most people lived in the countryside, approximately 90%..
