I had never heard the Hershey story before today…. Like many uber success stories, there were a lot of set backs and struggles. He came from an extremely impoverished family to end up as head of the most successful candy company in the country at the time.
I found it interesting that he never forgot those that helped him while he built his business. He also never forgot those that turned their back on him. At one of his lowest points while trying to build his brand, he became homeless. Many of his family members refused to take him in, they were soon to regret that decision.
Just a very good success story…. I love hearing them…. even the negative aspects…. You can’t have the good without the bad, it’s the duality of life in operation.
