I’m Watching “Elizabeth II: Our Queen – Episode 4 – Tragedy & Triumph – British Royal Documentary” on YouTube πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

The documentary starts out with Queen Elizabeth on New Years Eve 2000 at the Millenium Dome in London, which had just been built. Tony Blair, the prime minister, wanted her to be there. You could tell she was very uncomfortable. In a rare display of public affection, Prince Phillip gave her a kiss. The queen was put in an undignified position as a result of her attending the New Years Eve event.

It would be two years later that the Queen would lose her sister and her mother. She has experienced much loss in her lifetime. But that’s just one price for living a long life, it’s one I’m not certain I’d be willing to pay. I wouldn’t want to be here if the people I loved the most were gone.
