Are Dreams a Glimpse into a Parallel Universe?

I know it’s morbid, but do you ever wonder what the world will be like when you are not around? What happens to you when you go to sleep or cease to exist? Is there a hidden world that exists parallel to our own? Maybe dreams give us a glimpse into this parallel universe.

Think about it; we experience dreams every night, regardless of our age or state of health. Are they merely random images conjured up by our brain as part of sleep? Or could they be a window into another dimension where our spirit wanders while out of our body?

For as long as I could remember I’ve dreamt about people and places that don’t exist in real life. I’m not talking about sci fi dreams made out of fantasies… I’m speaking of dreaming about my hometown, but it’s different in my dream… I drive on roads and walk on sidewalks that don’t actually exist. I shop, live and visit places that just aren’t there…

Almost every night since I’ve been a child, I’ve visited these places in my dreams. They are always pleasant places to go to; almost utopian in nature.. There have been many times during my life, usually when I’m stressed, that I can’t wait for my day to be over so I can go to the land of make believe that my mind has created. There have been times when I induce sleep, so I can get to my fantasy world quickly. I talk and love people who only exist in my mind… They are mixed in with people who I actually know, dead or alive… They all come to me, almost every night.. It’s a wonderful place to be… Just thinking about it comforts me.

Like I said, this has been going on for a long time. I wanted to see if I could pick up on any patterns in my sleep that would cause me to have such vivid dreams.. So I started keeping a dream journal about 13 years ago…I record the time I fell asleep, the time I woke up… what I ate or did before falling asleep… what the weather was like when I went to bed and woke up….and even any medications or vitamins that I take…and lastly I write down any dreams I’ve had the minute I get up. If I don’t write them down immediately, they quickly fade.. There is a science behind why you often forget your dreams, if you get a chance, look it up, it’s actually quite interesting..

There have been several explanations on why we dream… and even why we sleep. I want to discuss a few of them. I’ve been studying dreams for awhile now and the explanations below are the most common. I’m not saying I agree or disagree with any of them.. I’m just relaying to you what I’ve come to learn about something we all do – sleep…

The following theories about dreams aren’t just weird, crackpot ideas from some kooky conspiracy theorist. In fact, many famous people have believed in them. Read on for more…

Parallel Universes

I’m not saying that dreams are a portal to another universe, but it is possible that parallel universes do exist. It just so happens that we are unaware of them. Think Quantum Physics and string theory.. But it’s entirely possible that they may merge with our current reality in certain places, and that could lead to similarities in the way we perceive certain things.

Dreams could be one such place where this happens, as they are often wildly different from our normal waking life. If parallel universes exist, then it’s possible that they are being constantly created and destroyed due to the fact that they are, by nature, unstable. The dreams that you have may actually be glimpses into different parallel universes that, for whatever reason, seem to have some similarities with your own.

Dreams Are a Window into the Afterlife

According to this theory, dreams are not glimpses of parallel universes that we are otherwise unaware of, but rather visits to the afterlife. This could be seen as an extension of the idea that dreams are a way of the mind processing information that it has encountered during the day.

In the case of dreams about the afterlife, this would be the unconscious mind processing information that it has encountered during our time in the spirit realm. Like the parallel universe theory, this could also be due to similarities between dreams and the way that the mind processes information.

For example, research has shown that the mind tends to process events in dreams as if they had happened in the past tense. This could be the unconscious mind processing future events, which are happening in the spirit realm, as if they had already happened.

Dreams as a Time Traveling Portal

This theory is based on the idea that dreams are a time traveling portal to the past. Like the theories about dreams being glimpses into other parallel universes or the afterlife, this theory also explains how dreams could be so wildly different from our normal lives.
If dreams are the unconscious mind processing information from the past, then that could explain why the events that we experience in dreams don’t always make sense.

If dreams are a time traveling portal, then they could be a way for us to process information from the past. This might explain why many people who experience traumatic events in their childhood often have nightmares as adults. The unconscious mind is trying to process the traumatic event, as well as the fact that the person was unable to deal with that event at the time.

Computer Programmer Theory

Ok, I know what you’re thinking, but stay with me on this one! This theory, which was created by a computer programmer, claims that dreams are like software bugs in the brain. Basically, it says that dreams are a by-product of the mind reprogramming itself, just as a computer programmer would reprogram a computer.

The reprogramming would be taking all of the data from the day and loading it into the memory bank so that it can be properly catalogued and stored, ready for use in the future. This theory says that the brain does this during the REM stage of sleep, or the stage when most of our dreams occur. When the brain does this, it ends up creating a few software bugs, in the form of dreams. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

Dreaming is a Reprogramming Workshop for the Next Life

This theory, which is an extension of the time travel theory, says that dreams are actually a workshop where we are reprogramming our brain so that we are ready for the next life. This theory doesn’t say where the dreams take place, but it does say what they are doing while they are happening.

This theory says that dreams are a way for us to process the events of our life so that we are ready for the next one. This could explain why dreams often seem to be disjointed and don’t make much sense. It could also explain why they sometimes feel so real. It’s as if we’re reliving the events of our life, except that we are in control of how they end.

Where do dreams come from?

Dreams are a fascinating but elusive part of our lives. It’s not really clear what they are for, or even why we have them. But what if dreams were actually a glimpse into a parallel universe, a time traveling portal to the past, a computer programmer’s debugging program, or a workshop for the next life?

These theories about the nature of dreams may sound crazy, but they certainly are interesting! And who knows, maybe there is something to them. Whatever the truth is, one thing is certain: dreams are fascinating, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for me tonight!
