She lived a separate life from her husband and let him be with his long term mistress. She was a devoted social advocate who rallied for John F. Kennedy before she died.
I found it interesting that she outlived (by many years) her husband and his mistress. She died in 1962 in New York City, where she was born.
She had several children, I would love to know what the stories are of the new generation.
