He always rented a room and was in the same boarding house for 30 years when this was made in the 60’s.
He had a low opinion of Princess Dianna. He thought she should have known that in Royal circles it was expected that the husband would have a mistress.
He was not on board with the gay liberation movement.
In this interview he said he was “in the winter of his life” and seemed to welcome death… He spoke of death fondly… as if it was the only way he’d experience peace. He went on to live another 30 years.
He died on Nov 21 1999, so he didn’t get to see the new millennium..
I love watching interviews….. I often get introduced to people long after they have left this earth…
