I Just Watched “What It’s Like to Be Evicted in the Middle of a Pandemic” on YouTube

This is a short newscast about people living in New Orleans getting evicted. Apparently they have very strict eviction laws that do not favor the tenant.

I understand that landlords need to pay their mortgage, etc but one of the interviews the presenter did was very disturbing. In court, a tenant offered to catch up on the rent minus the current month due… She was offering $2800…. The landlord wouldn’t do it. That really bothered me.

I’d love to interview property managers and landlords to see their the on this and his they’ve handled it..
