I Watched “The Century: America’s Time – The 90s And Beyond: Then And Now” on YouTube πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸŒŽ

This was the last episode of a fifteen part series that started airing in 1999. It was interesting to see what the internet looked like then, when AOL was king, I remember it well..

In just over two short years, 911 would happen, among an endless number of events that transpired in the 21 years since this aired. I would love to see something similar about the past two decades. God knows there is a lot to talk about.

One thing interesting I found while putting the title into Google, was that several school (primarily class) webpages referenced this show… It’s nice to think that people are listening and learning from Peter Jennings, who left this earth a long time ago now..

As the documentary went on, they often referenced past eras and events that led up to the various happenings in the 90’s… which I found interesting.. I especially enjoyed when thet would reference the beginning of the century..

The website that they use, thecentury.com, now gets redirected to a website featuring high end apartments for sale in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco. I guess ABC didn’t think it was important enough to keep. It’s just a reminder that nothing is really forever, is it?
