One of the people interviewed said the chances that Queen Elizabeth would be queen would be similar to Princess Beatrice becoming Queen today, it’s unlikely. She, nor her father for that matter, expected to become the King or Queen…. As we know, it wasn’t until his brother’s abdication that paved the way for Elizabeth to become Queen.
I’ve heard it on several documentaries I’ve watched about the queen… that she has always been low key and kept her emotions in check.
I couldn’t help thinking, after seeing clips of her coronation, how many of those people are still alive. It would have to be terribly difficult to be one of the last people living from your generation… not sure I could handle it myself.
