I’m Watching “The Century: America’s Time – 1914-1919: Shell Shock” on YouTube

The documentary started off on Pier 54 in New York City…. it discussed the departure of the doomed Lusitania, who was sunk by a German U-boat off the coast of Ireland in the Celtic Sea.

It showed some disturbing images of children who died in the tragedy. I didn’t like it, they should have omitted it in my opinion

This was part of a 15 part series that aired in 1999. Peter Jennings narrated. He would die just five short years later in 2005 at age 67. I looked him up, I didn’t realize he dropped out of high school.
