Universal Credit in The United Kingdom is similar to welfare in the States.
The UK is switching their benefits program to making one payment to the family instead of paying everything separately. For example, instead of giving the housing allowance (section 8 in the States) directly to the landlord, they give it to the beneficiary instead.
Many people are complaining that they are not getting the money they are entitled too. They spoke of several families who are facing eviction. I hate seeing people suffer, I really do.
