One of the first ways I made money online was with software…. especially windows screensavers that I bundled in an .exe with pay per install ads and mass submitted to shareware directories…. Not only did I make sales from the Screensavers but I also got backlinks for my websites, which I placed cpa offers and Google adsense ads on….. I used it as a ranking tool…
Screensavers were easy to build and scalable… Anyway, I was searching for a Windows program and was reminded that the old school ways of making money online… i.e software, screensavers and email.. are still viable businesses… you just don’t hear too much about them anymore.. It’s all about mobile apps now..
This 8 year old alarm clock had 70 downloads last week….(see screenshot below) That’s just off one platform… We could extrapolate all day on what it earns… if anything….. but the point is.. it’s still getting some action.
