Success – It’s Really Just a Simple Formula

I find motivation by watching others live the life I want to live.  I find motivation by watching others sell what I want to sell,  do what I want to do or even have what I want to have.   Whether it be a company selling weekend casino junkets, Youtubers, consignment shops or even real estate,  I’ve been intrigued by them all.  It’s not because I chase a life of glamour,  or one of privilege and riches,  I chase because of my desire to be free.  I chase because of my desire to create.  I chase because I want to  make a difference in this world.  I chase because I want there to be people living on this earth who benefit simply because I existed. These simple reasons have motivated everything I’ve ever done.   They’ve motivated every decision I’ve ever made.  They are the driving force of my existence. They drive me to succeed.  They drive me to be fair. They drive me to make a difference.   The nice things in life that result from my decisions are just the icing on the cake.   But they are not my primary concern or objective,  it’s just not that simple or easy.

I’ve always wanted to follow someone from the time they started their business venture to their eventual success, or even their failure.   I’ve been following this gentleman’s  blog I link to below for some time now. He’s fascinating. I have learned a lot, our lives parallel in so many ways.  I realize not everyone is wired like myself.. and some people are completely content with their station in life… but regardless you can find motivation by reading his blog.  If you get anything from reading it, get this:   Life is not always the way it seems.  I know that’s cliche,  but life really isn’t.

We live in some fascinating times.  You may not even realize the times you were living in until much later in life.  Opportunity abounds,  doors that were once closed to the average person are now open.  I only need to point you to the Youtube Star FunToyzCollector, which according to Social Blade earns $78K to $1.3M per month.  No that was not a typo,  per month.  Do you know her primary activity?  Opening Disney toys.   Gasp,  it’s true.  If you are a data miner like myself,  I urge you to visit  Social Blade,  the information you’ll find is mind boggling.  There are other examples.   I would never had even heard of this person if it were not for my never ending research and data mining activities.    This is just Youtube,  there are countless examples of people,  not even old enough to vote,  making much more than doctors, lawyers and anyone with an advanced degree.   So again,  I say to you,  life is not always what it seems.  Take advantage of this fact,  don’t make the mistake of limiting yourself.

“Even though things started out slowly, our online store managed to replace my wife’s salary of $100K within one year.” – Steve Chou

I have gone down many different roads in my online career, ahem ventures.   Because a career would imply that I’m working, wouldn’t it?   I haven’t worked in 15 years,  because I love what I do.   How can loving what you do possibly be work?  How nice is it to wake up every morning and know that you are the one calling the shots.  You have the freedom to think for yourself.  I’ve had some failures, definitely.  But it was Daymond John who once said,

” Rise & Grind! Failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.”

You too will fail,  but you will need to decide for yourself if you let that failure define you or allow it catapult you to the level of success you deserve.   Do yourself a favor and allow it to catapult you to the success you day dream about, the success  you want to share with your friends, your counterparts and your loved ones.  Only you can decide.  The ball is in your court,  the fact is it always has been.  The fact remains,  it always will be.

I believe there truly are no limits… the sooner you realize this one truth, the sooner your life can begin to change for the better.  The sooner you realize it doesn’t matter where you think you are now, or where you have been, you too can make a difference.   Your education doesn’t matter, your current station in life doesn’t matter.  The only thing that matters is your drive to succeed.  The only thing that matters is your willingness to learn from your mistakes and move on.  If someone making several million dollars a year opening Disney toys from the comfort of her home is succeeding,  do you really think there is anything you can’t do if you put your mind to it and think outside of the box for once?

Whether it be health, wealth, relationships or just whatever.. it’s yours for the taking.. all you have to do is ask.  Success, good health and happiness are your birthrights.

Realities change, sometimes in the blink of an eye, before you even realized what happened.

“Since we cannot change reality, let us change the eyes which see reality.”
Nikos Kazantzakis

You have a lot of work ahead of you,  your story is yet to be told.  You have lives to touch, decisions to make.  Never forget, your age doesn’t matter, the number of children you have doesn’t matter. The amount of money you have or don’t have doesn’t matter. Only one thing qualifies you for greatness.  If you are breathing air on this earth,  that’s what matters. That’s your ticket. That’s where you start. One breath at a time.  Now GO and change someone’s life!  Change YOUR life!  It’s NEVER too late.

Below is the blog I was speaking of that I’ve been following for some time.   I urge you to take a look,  it’s very motivational,  even if your interests lie outside of entrepreneurship.
