I Just Watched “Nelson Takes his Mother to the Top of the World Trade Center in 1986” on YouTube

Nelson Sullivan had over 1900 hours of film that he had taken over several years in New York City. There are less than 200 hours that are online. They are no longer being uploaded.

After doing a little research, I found out his mother was born in 1914, which would have made her around 72 when this was taken, depending on her birthday. She died in 2012 at 98 years old. So she outlived Nelson by decades,. That’s just hard to wrap my mind around.

I havnt been able to find out anything about his aunt. I’m guessing she is a little younger, maybe in her mid to late 60’s. I’d love to know more about them.

It’s crazy to think that Nelson would depart the planet just three short years after he filmed this…. Then the World Trade Center would vanish 15 years later.

I would love to know more about his family and how often Nelson saw them. There is a Facebook Group devoted to Nelson that may have some answers. I’ve never asked, but there are people who lived during that Era who are active on there.

The Facebook Group is Nelson Sullivan Facebook Group
