Youtube VS Facebook Shorts – Why is there Such a Dramatic Difference in Views Between Platforms?

I posted a YouTube short video of a candle last night and it received over 400 views… I have very few subscribers on YouTube and this is the second time I’ve gotten a lot of views on a short version video… I need to study this… I posted the same video on my Facebook and Instagram stories and got less than a handful of views.

It’s a reminder that every platform is different… You could have a large following and a lot of action on your content on Facebook…. but on YouTube you could have thousands of friends and followers, but not nearly as many organic views… What’s different about it?

It reminds me of something Tina Turner said on an interview about fading celebrity… and how fame decreases after time… But yet she still has a huge following in Europe and ways has… much more so than in the States.

I think it could work the same way with social media… The algorithms are different for each one… A study is in order. What do you think?
